Collection: We're Doing It ALL Wrong® - 3rd Annual Art Exhbiition

Ed Dixon, owner and curator, at the Edward A. Dixon Gallery in Downtown Dayton has planned a 3rd exhibition for August 2023 centered around the theme of the gallery’s project, We’re Doing It ALL Wrong®.

The project is a gallery initiative to highlight issues large and small that have persisted in cultures, institutions, organizations, spiritual lives and governments for far too long. The goal of the exhibition is to not only highlight these issues but create conversations that lead to new ways to tackle old problems.

This year’s call for entry received close to 200 entries from across the United States. 27 entries were selected by judges Amanda Wirig (Gallery Owner and Artists – Minneapolis, MN), Jamaal Durr (Artist – Dayton, OH) and Gallery Owner, Ed Dixon). Hate Crimes against Asian/Pacific Islanders, the Cost of Managing a Disease like Diabetes, Human Trafficking, Gun Violence and the Climate Emergency are among the topics addressed by the artists.
