Cruel Denials
David Larson (Cambridge, MA)
Alcohol Ink Marker, 13” W x 10”
Artwork:
A woman walks in front of a tailoring storefront with, behind its lowered gate, a neon coat hanger glows with symbolic connotations: the mundane has become a threatening reminder of what has been denied.
Artist Statement:
My work focuses on landscapes—usually urban, but occasionally fractions of natural environments isolated within populated areas—prompting reflection on the human place within built environments.
